U13 away vs Painswick

Sun 10-Feb-2019

Bredon Power past Painswick

The Bredon Boys recorded a well deserved victory at Painswick in a game full of entertaining running rugby.

Both squads were heavily depleted so it was decided to play an 11 per side match.

Painswick possessed a Nemesis Boy who ran in some fantastic tries but he was matched by Ollie - whose return to rugby has coincided with an upturn in the Under 13's form & fortune.

Ollie ran in a hat trick while all the Bredon squad made excellent contributions against some determined opposition.

My memory fails me in respect of the details but I recall Harry having a pretty decent game as hooker Jimmy & James having some storming runs & Bredon being pretty dominant at the scrum & breakdown. Overall Bredon teamwork overcame individual efforts of Painswick.

Weather - Wet at first giving way to blue skies & sunshine.

Bappage. Disappointing

Spectator Specials: Wes & Uncle Mo in matching chairs, sat by Big Phil - all looking like a failed audition for last of the summer wine.

Car parking; Adequate - I opted for the risky grass option rather than risk the hard standing area beyond the club-house.

Monkey Business: Consistent

Followed by large Sunday dinner & lashings of a cheeky little French red - perfect.
