Started in 2015, Bredon Ladies Touch Rugby has gone from strength to strength by winning the Midlands Touch League in 2019. We are a group of women who believe in having fun whilst getting fit and playing a game we love.
What is Touch Rugby?
Touch is a non-contact version of rugby and promotes fun (we have a lot of that), fitness and friendship. Touch is easy to learn, easy to play and helps you rediscover your sporting abilities to help you get and stay fit.
Who can play?
We welcome girls and ladies of all ages and abilities from 12yrs upwards (although only 14yrs and over can play in tournaments). Currently, our age range is 12yrs to 51yrs!
What does it cost?
To play for Bredon Ladies you must become a playing member of Bredon Star RFC. The annual membership for 2020 is £40. This is a one off payment for the year and covers the cost of entering tournaments, insurance and access to free physio (during the senior men’s playing season). However, you can come and try out training for free.
Training is held on a Tuesday evening.
- Winter training 7.45 – 8.45pm – Bredon Village Hall
- Spring training 7.00 – 8.00pm – Muga, Bredon Recreation Ground
- Summer Training 6.30 – 8.00pm (or dark) – bottom rugby pitch, Bredon Recreation Ground
Training is taken by our DBS registered coach, Matt Jaynes
